Straight out of Paterson, New Jersey (a.k.a. Silk City), Hip-Hop’s next rising star, Carlito, is taking the game by storm. Influenced by Hip-Hop legends such as Nas, Jay-Z, 2pac, Big Pun and The Notorious B.I.G., the Dominican emcee has loved and admired Hip-Hop culture since embracing it at a young age.

After finding himself as an artist and mastering the craft of emceeing, Carlito soon found himself delivering rugged rhymes of street strife, drug-dealing, and everyday life situations. Through his monstrous work ethic and creativity, his music easily traveled from the streets of New Jersey to exclusive mixtapes features from popular DJs including: DJ Green Lantern, DJ Vlad, DJ Lazy K, 4Sho and many more.

His debut mixtape, This Ain’t a Movie Vol.1 hosted by DJ 007, sold over 7,000 units in the streets and online. The mixtape was labeled an instant classic and proved that Carlito was a fixture in the industry. In the summer of 2007, Carlito was chosen to record a track for DJ Green Lantern’s Myspace Monster Mash Mix CD, and the outcome was the street anthem, “Get This Money” which gives listeners a taste of what’s to come.

On his journey to success, Carlito experienced the hardships of the business first hand. After dealing with more than enough of conniving managers who repeatedly sold him broken dreams, he decided to take his career into his own possession and took the independent route working and financing his album, Carlito’s Way – which is co-signed by DJ Khaled, DJ Enuff, Nu Jersey Devil and DJ Vlad. In the process of recording Carlito’s Way the Carlito has worked with multi-platinum rapper, Paul Wall, and producers that speak for themselves in: Omega Beats, Apex Productions, Info Productions and So Amazing.

The album’s first singles, “Life of Crimez” and “We Sip A Lil’ Liquor” are clinging to the streets. Carlito also worked on DJ Vlad’s popular DVD series, “RockStar” and also appeared on the well known All Access DVD Series.

YOUNG BUCK TALKS 50 CENT, THE GAME, G-UNIT & MORE

Former G-Unit Member Young Buck Gave His Opinions On The Happenings With 50 Cent, G-Unit, Sha Money XL, The Game, Snoop Dogg And More

New York, NY – May 12, 2008Former G-Unit member Young Buck finally gave us some real-time comments on the situation with G-Unit. During an interview with the XM Radio show “Raw With Mz. Kitti”, the Nashville MC talked about his leaving from G-Unit, his situation with 50 Cent, Sha Money XL, the chain snatching and more.

“A lot of this sh*t that 50’s doing towards my situation, I’m just not used to,” Buck said on the air. “I’m a street n*gga, I’m ain’t used to n*gga’s just saying sh*t and just doing any of this sh*t. I’m like ‘Hold up.’ … I’m focused at this point and I’mma stay this way. I’m more happier than I’ve ever been in my career. I ain’t lying.”

Buck revealed that his longtime manager Sha Money XL couldn´t be reached for whatever reason after he was kicked out of G-Unit. “The minute that 50 went public and said ‘Yo Buck, you kicked out of G-Unit,’ Sha Money pretty much disappeared from me for like two, three weeks. No contact at all. After that situation, I went to calling Sha, because he’s my manager, and Sha just disappeared.”

But Buck still considers XL a friend, “Sha Money was more than just a manager to me. At the end of the day, Sha Money was … still is my friend. Sha’s in a situation dealing with both of these things – he’s a friend of 50 Cent, he’s my manager. Outside of that, we’ve growed our friendship. I’m Sha’s best man on his wedding,” explained Buck.

Buck also took the time to reach out to The Game, “To the homie Game. I’m aware of you reaching out. I haven’t gotten on no phone conversations and actually spoke to Game, but he’s reached out to a few people that’s around me just to show his support like ‘Yo Buck, fuck whatever’s going on, I just wanna see your well being, as long as you aight.’ ”

“That’s love and I ain’t even got that call from Banks and Yayo, and we ain’t got no issues with each other. The issue was from 50,” Buck continued about the relationship to his former G-Unit members and added that other rappers are better friends then Banks and Yayo. “[Snoop Dogg] comes to my city – Cashville, Tennessee. This motherf*cker really showed my city more love than any motherf*cker … and that goes for anybody and everybody, 50 Cent and all them … and I’m signed to 50 Cent. But 50 Cent has never been to my house. 50 don’t know where I live, on my child’s life. I don’t even think he’d know my child’s first and last name if I asked him. My whole thing is, when [Snoop] came to my home like that – he hung out in the hood and the projects – sh*t like that, you can’t buy with money. Money can’t buy that sh*t. I appreciate that sh*t more than anything in my life. It was so real.”

Despite the G-Unit turmoil, Buck is busy with establishing his new label Cashville Records and his David Brown Clothing line. “I’m focused at this point and I’mma stay this way,” Buck said. “I’m more happier than I’ve ever been in my career. I ain’t lying.”
